I have known Mark for over 20 years, he worked as the Audit Manager for a period for a firm of Chartered and Certified Practicing Accountants where I had the position of director and partner. I later recommended Mark for advancement, to fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants.

Mark excelled in the Audit field, he had a large body of knowledge and was quite familiar with using the PwC audit procedures and systems and it was necessary on occasions to make alterations to these programs. It also required the development of new more appropriate audit programs for different clients that our firm serviced. Mark also took on the role of assisting small local Accounting and Audit firms we provided with support, for their Audit and Assurance Divisions. This support involved updating audit programs, systems, procedures, and the use of psychology in their audit functions.
I have continued to mentor Mark over the last 5 years and recommended his advancement to a Fellow member of the Institute of Public Accountants. Mark engages with me regularly about issues he needs advice and guidance. I have no hesitation recommending Mark to any firm that requires his services that he now specialises in.

Kanji & Co is an in-house law firm, servicing a large, privately owned international group of companies, with interests primarily in: – Building materials – Healthcare – Mining – Technology consultancy – Property development We operate across Australia and New Zealand, with interests in the US, Asia and Europe.
We employed MR Mark Hardy as a Chief Financial Officer in the 1990s for several companies in the Asian region. His duties were overseeing their financial operations and gradually implementing changes to the technology used in these companies. Mark had the ability to achieve the required results with any task we instructed him to undertake. He was very intuitive, experienced and was only too obliging to expand his knowledge base where it was required when discharging his duties.

Mark on occasion provided contract services when requested by our company, Mark was referred to us by other businesses. His initial internal audit work found several areas of deficiencies that required our attention. There were numerous opportunities for cost savings, our variable and fixed costs were reviewed, which revealed these savings.
There was a selection of costs for building projects in progress and completed, after this audit examination was completed, it disclosed some surprising issues that also needed to be addressed. Mark advised us on various approaches for structures regarding various companies and businesses we had, tax advantages that needed investigation and to be pursued. Mark provided his views regarding the development of a Policy and Procedure manual for our company and staff, which was later finalised by Mark. Mark briefed us on governance, risk management, accounting and other areas of interest to us. Our company did offer Mark the position of directorship as Executive Director on a full-time basis, but Mark preferred one-off-contract work, but he was always available to provide his services to us when we needed his services.
